Story time. When i was younger i used to play this game called FeralHeart a lot. Basically you could customize your own canine or big feline character, run around, chat with others or even build your own maps, markings etc. So it was more of a 3D chatroom than a game. Similarly as to those online dollmakers i made a lot of characters on there, for which i created backstories in my mind and so on. And all this before i even knew what an OC/Fursona, yet alone the Furry fandom was. Some people who've been following me for years might know i had an OC called Efeustern (Ivystar) which functioned like a Fursona for me when i was active
